One CapCut Export or Separate Versions?
Use one master export when the edit is simple: 1080×1920, 9:16, MP4, H.264, frame rate matched to the source and captions kept away from the bottom/right UI areas. Make separate versions when captions, CTAs, logos, usernames or product text sit close to platform controls, because TikTok, Reels and Shorts cover different parts of the screen.
Caption and Safe Zone Basics
- TikTok: keep key text above the bottom controls and away from the right-side action buttons.
- Instagram Reels: avoid the bottom caption/username area and the right-side button stack.
- YouTube Shorts: keep subtitles and CTAs clear of the bottom title/actions area; YouTube's Shorts guidance covers the vertical Shorts flow, while its upload-encoding guide supports higher-resolution source uploads. Keep a 4K master when you need one and export the Shorts copy for the platform.
