Reading guides and subscribing

You can read our public guides without signing up. If you subscribe, the Ghost signup form asks for your name and email address. Ghost uses those details to create and manage your membership and deliver subscription emails. Member accounts are optional; they are not accounts with CapCut.

Website analytics

Website analytics are enabled. Page visits send technical information such as the page address, referring source, campaign parameters, browser information and language to the site's analytics service. These records help us understand which guides people read and how they find them.

Ghost's native analytics use a cookie-free visitor counter. That does not make every record anonymous: when a member is signed in, page-view records can include their member ID and membership status. An anonymous visitor count and a member's reading activity are different kinds of data.

Newsletter activity

Email-open and link-click tracking are enabled in our newsletter settings. When newsletters are sent, this allows Ghost to record engagement with those emails and associate activity with subscriber records. We use these reports to see which email content readers open or follow.

Use the unsubscribe link in a newsletter to stop receiving it. Unsubscribing and deleting a membership are separate actions: stopping emails does not automatically erase your member record or its recorded activity.

Browser storage and signup sources

The site uses browser session storage called ghost-history to record recent page visits and referral or campaign details. Ghost's member-source tracking uses this information to identify how someone arrived before subscribing. This storage is separate from cookies.

In a fresh, signed-out browser check on 12 September 2026, the Privacy page and signup form created this session-storage entry but no cookies. That check does not describe every signed-in session, external site or browser setup. Ghost uses session information for member sign-in; clearing site data can require you to sign in again.

Services that process information

Ghost hosts this publication and provides its membership and newsletter features. Ghost documents Tinybird as the provider behind its native website analytics. Our pages also load Ghost interface software through jsDelivr and images from Ghost's storage service; loading those resources requires your browser to connect to their servers.

The Ghost privacy policy describes Ghost's own processing. Its data processing agreement covers its role when handling customer data and the use of subprocessors. Provider processing can involve different countries; this page does not promise that every category of data stays in one country.

If you send us a message, it includes the contact details and content you choose to provide. Use the details on our Contact page for a question about your information or a request to delete correspondence or a member record. Do not send passwords, payment details, private project files or verification codes.

Closing a browser tab or unsubscribing is not a request to delete information already held by a service. This page does not specify a fixed retention period for member records, analytics or correspondence; do not assume the visitor-counting window is a deletion deadline.
