CapCut Wedding Templates: Build a Clear Wedding Edit

Checked August 31, 2026: choose the template from the wedding footage you can actually use. Three to seven distinct moments suit a teaser or one-scene edit. Nine to 17 can carry a compact wedding-day story. A 21-to-30-slot montage needs genuinely different moments, not repeated portraits added to satisfy the counter.

Sort the wedding footage before searching

Put the usable photos and clips into a temporary album. Count moments, not files. Ten burst photos of the same ring exchange are one moment. A wide ceremony shot, the vows, a guest reaction and the walk back down the aisle are four.

Remove blurred duplicates, accidental screen recordings and screenshots that expose notifications, contact names or locations. Keep a mix of scale: venue details, the room, the couple, family and friends, then smaller reactions. This makes the final video feel like a day rather than a portrait session.

All 22 official detail pages in our dated sample reported a 9:16 ratio, so the current pool strongly favors vertical viewing. That observation does not prove every CapCut wedding template is vertical. Check the live detail screen if you need 16:9 for a television, projector or conventional YouTube video.

We collected current cards from CapCut's official pages for wedding photo and video edits, wedding video editing, cinematic wedding edits, wedding slideshows and Shadi videos. The 14 examples below are a useful range, not a complete catalog or a popularity ranking. Slot count, runtime and ratio came from each official detail payload.

Build the wedding-day story before filling slots

A template supplies timing and transitions. You still decide what the viewer understands. A short wedding edit usually needs six types of moment, even when several share one section:

1. Detail or arrival. Establish the place with an invitation card, rings, flowers, venue or arrival shot. Use one, not all five.
2. Ceremony. Choose the action that changes the day: walking in, vows, rings, signing or the exit.
3. Couple. Give one portrait or movement shot enough time to land. A clean full frame usually reads better than a rushed collage.
4. People. Include family, friends or one genuine reaction. A wedding video made entirely of couple portraits loses the room around them.
5. Reception. Pick a toast, first dance, table detail or group moment that changes the energy.
6. Close. End on a complete action, final portrait or departure. Do not leave an accidental spare slot after the emotional ending.

Check the detail screen, not the template title

Template names are creator labels, not specifications. The verified “EHSAS 6 CLIP” example currently requires seven media slots. Read the detail screen, count the placeholders and watch the full preview before selecting any footage.

• Count the slots. Prepare the exact number of usable items. If the template needs 17 and you have 12, choose a smaller structure.
• Test the crop. Look for circles, split screens, fast zooms and masks. Check faces, hands, dresses, signs and group edges in every placeholder.
• Check the pace. Slow-motion templates need moving footage. Very fast templates need simple frames. Neither format makes a weak clip stronger.
• Replace exposed text and audio. Confirm which titles can change and whether a replacement song leaves the cuts on the beat. Check the live rights or audio status for the platform where you will publish.
• Export a short test. Watch the saved file outside CapCut. Confirm that faces are not cut off, text can be read once and the audio is clean.

Use a wedding template in CapCut

CapCut's current template-use instructions describe the full Mobile flow: open a template, choose the required photos or videos, preview the result, select an exposed segment, replace or crop it, then export. Labels and available controls may differ by account, region and app version.

1. Open the official detail or collection page on your phone. If the live action is missing, stop before arranging every file around that template.
2. Select from the prepared album. Fill the story beats in order where the template allows it. Do not choose from the entire camera roll under time pressure.
3. Watch once at normal speed. Scrubbing hides rushed titles, weak crops and pauses that feel too long.
4. Fix every exposed crop and title. Leave the template if a required name, language or event detail is locked.
5. Export and watch the saved file. Check it on the phone and on the destination platform before sending it to the couple or publishing it.

When another template route fits better

Keep invitations separate. An invitation succeeds when the date, time, place and RSVP path are clear. CapCut has an official wedding invitation example, but that branch should not be squeezed into a wedding-day montage.

Keep anniversaries separate. An anniversary edit compares years, milestones and change over time. CapCut's anniversary collection belongs to that later story, not to one wedding day.

Wedding template export check

Watch the exported video at normal speed and with sound before sharing it. Confirm that:

• the first frame identifies the wedding or people without a long generic intro;
• the order follows the day and does not jump between ceremony and preparation without a reason;
• faces, hands, outfits, signs and subtitles stay inside every crop;
• names and dates remain visible long enough to read once;
• the music starts, ends and changes at deliberate points;
• no private notification, contact name, location or account detail appears in imported screenshots;
• the last frame feels complete and no unexpected logo, watermark or blank segment follows it.
